The solid Kiaat frames feature sculpted backrests, gently curved top rails and refined joinery, while the suspended leather seats wrap around the exposed front and rear seat rails — allowing the structural timber elements to remain an integral part of the design.

Fully restored by Statement Collectables, each solid Kiaat frame has been carefully refinished to enhance the timber’s rich natural tones and distinctive grain.

The chairs have been reupholstered in premium full-grain genuine leather, with individually stitched edges and traditional fixing details complementing the warmth of the Kiaat frames.

A particularly characterful example of South African Mid-Century Modern furniture design, combining sculptural craftsmanship, natural materials and practical everyday comfort.
