🗜️ Workmanship

This vintage outdoor dining set features beautifully weathered solid Meranti slats supported by slender mild steel frames, creating an elegant contrast between natural hardwood and industrial materials.

The open slatted construction allows for practical outdoor use while giving the table and chairs a visually lightweight appearance. The matching chairs feature angled backrests and simple geometric steel frames, complementing the clean architectural language of the dining table.

The solid Meranti timber provides a warm natural contrast to the slender mild steel frames and is well suited to outdoor furniture when appropriately finished and maintained. The set is particularly well suited to covered patios, verandas, courtyards and other sheltered outdoor entertaining spaces.

Expertly restored by Statement Collectables, the solid Meranti timber has been carefully refinished to enhance its warm natural tones and distinctive grain, while the mild steel frames have been restored to ensure both structural integrity and longevity. The restoration preserves the set’s original vintage character while preparing it for many more years of everyday use.

Ideal for covered patios, courtyards, verandas and landscaped garden settings, this complete six-seater dining set offers a distinctive combination of vintage character, functionality and understated Retro design.
